The Michigan Transfer Agreement facilitates the transfer of general education requirements from one institution  to another. Orginially called the MACRAO agreement, the MTA is a revised version with additional requirements to increase the transferability of general education courses across all of Michigan's public institutions. To fulfill the MTA, students must complete at least 30 credits in 6 defined areas with a grade of 2.0 or higher in each course.
