Delayed Entry PRogram
Also referred to as DEP.
The delayed entry program is where an individual may enlist in a Reserve or Inactive component of a military service and specify a future reporting date for entry on active duty. This will coincide with availability of training spaces and with personal plans such as graduating from high school. All service branches offer the Delayed entry program, but will only delay their actual entry date up to 365 days.
